Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and management of all construction plants and machinery at the site. Your role will also involve supervising store and inventory activities to ensure the availability of materials, consumables, and spare parts. You must be a technically skilled and organized professional to ensure smooth equipment performance, cost efficiency, and proper record maintenance. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise the daily functioning of all plants and construction equipment including Batching Plant, WMM Plant, Hot Mix Plant, etc. - Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance as per the maintenance plan. - Maintain records of fuel consumption, operating hours, and maintenance schedules. - Coordinate with site engineers and operators for optimal utilization of equipment. - Ensure timely calibration, servicing, and compliance with quality and safety standards. - Monitor and guide plant operators, mechanics, and helpers for efficient performance. - Oversee all store operations related to materials, consumables, and spare parts. - Maintain accurate stock registers for receipt, issue, and balance of materials. - Conduct regular stock verification and reconcile with system or manual records. - Coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement of materials and spares. - Ensure proper storage, labeling, and safety of all inventory items. - Keep track of material usage, returns, and wastage control. Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain daily and monthly reports of equipment performance and fuel usage. - Prepare MIS reports for plant efficiency, downtime, and inventory status. - Ensure all documentation related to store transactions is complete and approved. - Liaise with accounts and billing departments for material consumption entries. Safety & Compliance: - Enforce strict safety procedures and PPE compliance at the plant and store areas. - Follow all environmental, statutory, and company safety norms. - Conduct regular safety briefings and equipment checks. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). - Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in plant and machinery management in a construction/infrastructure company, with exposure to store and inventory handling.
