Plant Head Manufacturing

1. Operations Management

• Ensure achievement of production targets with optimal use of resources.
  
• Monitor and drive KPIs for productivity, quality, OEE, downtime, etc.
  
• Coordinate with other departments like Planning, Purchase, QA/QC, and Logistics.
  

2. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead, guide, and motivate plant personnel.
  
• Implement best HR practices in coordination with HR.
  
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  

3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure compliance with safety norms and statutory requirements.
  
• Conduct regular audits and safety drills.
  
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  

4. Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to ISO or other relevant quality management systems.
  
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  
• Ensure zero-defect delivery to customers.
  

5. Maintenance & Asset Management

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
  
• Maximize equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
  

6. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage plant budgets and cost control measures.
  
• Drive cost-saving initiatives in line with business goals.
  

7. Liaison & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and statutory compliances.
  
• Liaise with local authorities, pollution control board, labour department, etc.
  

8. Strategic Projects

• Participate in capacity enhancement, plant modernization, and lean manufacturing projects.
  
• Lead digitization and automation initiatives wherever applicable.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering preferred)
  
• MBA (Operations/Industrial Management) is an added advantage
  
• 1525 years of experience in manufacturing industry with minimum 5 years in a leadership role
  
• Experience in HVAC, automobile, or heavy engineering sectors preferred
