Ppc Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage production planning and control functions to ensure timely availability of HVAC products and components, aligned with project schedules and customer requirements, while optimizing resources and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and implement the

  master production schedule

  based on sales forecasts, project timelines, and customer orders for HVAC products (AHUs, ducts, chillers, etc.).
• Coordinate with design, procurement, stores, and production teams to ensure

  material readiness

  and smooth production flow.
• Maintain and optimize

  production planning tools and ERP systems

  (e.g., SAP, Tally Prime, etc.) specific to HVAC operations.
• Monitor shop floor activities to ensure adherence to planned schedules, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions.
  
• Plan for

  make-to-stock

  and

  make-to-order

  items in alignment with HVAC project requirements and delivery timelines.
• Control and manage inventory levels of raw materials (GI sheets, copper tubes, insulation materials, etc.), WIP, and finished goods.
  
• Coordinate with quality and dispatch teams to ensure

  timely delivery and compliance

  with customer specifications.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly

  MIS reports

  on production performance, material movement, and capacity utilization.
• Work closely with project, sales, and service teams to align production output with installation and commissioning schedules.
  
• Drive

  cost reduction and process improvement

  initiatives through lean manufacturing and resource optimization.
• Lead and develop a team of PPC planners and support staff.
  

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC product manufacturing processes
  
• Proficiency in production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control
  
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems used in manufacturing
  
• Good understanding of project-based production planning (especially for HVAC projects)
  
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  
• Cross-functional coordination and communication
  
• Knowledge of quality and safety standards relevant to HVAC industry
  

Qualifications:

• Education:

  B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

• Experience:

  6 to 8 years in Production Planning & Control, with at least 3 years in the HVAC manufacturing industry
