Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Production planning and scheduling:
Create and manage daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer demand.
Inventory management:
Monitor and control raw material stock levels to prevent shortages and reduce excess and ensure efficient flow of materials from suppliers to the production floor.
Resource allocation:
Ensure the proper allocation of manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production targets and optimize utilization.
Coordination and communication:
Liaise with other departments, including sales, R&D, quality, and procurement, to ensure seamless production flow and alignment with new product launches and delivery targets.
Performance monitoring:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, rejection rates, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to drive continuous improvement.
Cost control:
Monitor production costs, ensure the process stays within budget, and find opportunities to reduce expenses.
Quality and compliance:
Ensure all production activities adhere to quality, compliance, and safety standards, which is crucial for electronics manufacturing.
Problem-solving:
Address production disruptions, productivity issues, and technical challenges as they arise.
Process improvement:
Implement best practices like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
