Job Description PPC Manager (Heavy Fabrication Industry) Location: IMT Bawal, Sector-3, Haryana Experience: 7+ Years Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Engineering Manufacturing Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced PPC Manager to manage Production Planning & Control for a heavy fabrication unit. The role includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities across welding, fabrication, VMC, CNC, press machine, and bending machine operations , ensuring timely delivery and smooth workflow. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Scheduling Prepare daily, weekly & monthly production plans. Create process routing sheets, job cards, and machine loading schedules. Plan and allocate work to VMC, CNC, press machines, bending machines, welding and fabrication sections. 2. Machine Shop Coordination (VMC, CNC, Press & Bending) Coordinate programming & job sequencing for VMC and CNC machines. Plan tool, fixture, and material availability for machining operations. Ensure optimum utilization of press & bending machines for sheet-metal and fabricated components. Track cycle times, machine downtime, and capacity load planning. 3. Material Planning Check material availability as per BOM/production plan. Raise material requirement notes (MRN) and coordinate with Purchase & Stores. Monitor WIP and raw material consumption. 4. Shop Floor Monitoring Monitor daily production vs. planned targets. Coordinate closely with Welding, Machining, Press Shop, Bending Shop, Assembly & Quality teams. Resolve bottlenecks and workflow delays to avoid production stoppage. 5. MIS & Reporting Prepare daily PPC reports, production status, delay reports & delivery schedules. Maintain planning dashboards and ERP/MRP data accuracy. 6. Customer & Cross-Department Coordination Coordinate with Dispatch, Sales & Design for delivery commitments. Review customer priority orders and adjust planning accordingly. 7. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards & fabrication tolerances. Coordinate with QC & Maintenance to ensure minimal rejections/downtime. Skills & Competencies Required: Strong experience in heavy fabrication environment. Deep understanding of VMC, CNC, press machine & bending machine operations. Good knowledge of welding, cutting, machining & fabrication processes. Strong planning, analytical and team coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems.
