PLANT CONTROLLER (COSTING & ACCOUNTS)

As a Plant Controller (Costing & Accounts) at the reputed Manufacturing MNC in Bhopal, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Overall supervision of Plant accounts, compliance, and controlling. - Monthly closure of Plant accounts and preparing Plant MIS. - Working closely with the Plant head in managing the total costs of the plant effectively. - Presenting the Plant P&L to the Operations team by the 10th of every month, focusing on monthly cost trends and areas of improvement. - Verification and approval of invoices for booking, ensuring accuracy in amount charged, correct GL codes, cost centers, and relevant backup documents. - Ensuring statutory compliances of the Plant including filing monthly GST returns and timely remittance of all control accounts reconciliation. - Preparation of Plant budgets and quarterly forecasts. - Monitoring Capex spend versus budget and tracking expansion-related Capex spends in detail. - Coordinating statutory/internal/cost audits related to the Plant. - Participating in the monthly physical count of Inventory and reconciling the differences. - Analyzing and reporting production order variances by order and correcting variances by coordinating with the operations team. - Monthly reconciliation of COGS: GL versus sub-ledgers. - Calculation of overhead rates and maintaining the same in BOM. - Driving cost savings at the Plant in coordination with the Operations team. - Monthly review of all GL accounts related to the Plant and analyzing spends versus Budget. - Being a member of the Scrap committee and ensuring proper controls are in place for scrap accounting and disposal. - Monthly analysis of Plant Inventory and reporting non-moving stock/quality stock for corrective actions. - Ensuring internal controls are in place, effective, and implementing new controls with proper checks and balances. - Any other activities as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
