Planning Engineer ( Pipeline Experience)

Bright Deal International General Contracting LLC (BDI) is a reputable contracting company specializing in pipeline infrastructure projects. As an approved contractor for TAQA works, BDI delivers complex and large-scale infrastructure projects across the UAE. We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of pipeline projects from inception to completion.

Position Overview:
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing detailed project schedules (including Level 3 and Level 4) for pipeline infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate must have full-fledged project work experience, covering the complete lifecycle from design to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and scheduling function across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Monitor project progress, analyze critical paths, and proactively implement corrective measures.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project timelines.
• Prepare and present detailed project performance reports (progress, variances, resource histograms, and S-curves).
• Develop, manage, and update comprehensive Level 3 and Level 4 schedules for large-scale pipeline projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment with actual work progress.
• Maintain as-built schedules and document project delays with justifications.
• Mentor and guide junior planning engineers in advanced scheduling practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years’ proven experience as a Planning Engineer in pipeline infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated end-to-end project execution experience (engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning).
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project, with hands-on experience in Level 3 & Level 4 scheduling.
• Solid understanding of pipeline design, construction methodologies, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
