Planning Engineer – Civil

The Planning Engineer – Civil is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, resource plans, and progress reports to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of civil engineering and construction projects. The role involves coordination with project teams, contractors, and clients to maintain alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Develop baseline programs, progress measurement systems, and recovery plans when required.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather progress data.
• Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions to recover lost time.
• Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, S-curves, and manpower histograms.
• Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to project control strategies.
• Assist in preparing cash flow projections, resource allocation plans, and material requirement schedules.
• Review contract documents, BOQs, and drawings to identify critical activities and milestones.
• Support in claims preparation, EOT (Extension of Time) analysis, and delay impact assessment.
• Ensure that project planning and reporting procedures comply with company standards and client requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling of civil/construction projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel-based planning tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project management principles.
• Knowledge of cost control, resource planning, and earned value analysis is desirable.
• Familiar with project documentation, contractual terms, and FIDIC conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
