Job Description

Job Title: Planning and Estimation Executive
Department: Production / Estimation
Location: hopuz,ayikkarappadi
Reporting to: Production Manager / Estimation Head

Job Summary:

The Planning and Estimation Executive is responsible for evaluating customer specifications, estimating production costs, preparing quotations, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production planning in a printing and packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer requirements, artwork, and specifications to prepare accurate job estimates.
  • Calculate cost estimates for materials, labor, machine time, and outsourced processes.
  • Prepare and send timely quotations to clients based on approved pricing standards.
  • Plan and schedule jobs efficiently to optimize machine usage and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Update costing sheets and maintain records for future reference.
  • Ensure jobs are planned as per the committed timelines and within budget.
  • Suggest cost-saving options and alternative materials when required.
  • Track the progress of print jobs and report delays or issues proactively.
  • Maintain a database of suppliers and price lists for materials and services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Printing Technology, Production Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in estimation/planning in a printing or packaging company preferred.
  • Good knowledge of printing processes (offset, digital, packaging, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP/estimating software (if any).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with paper sizes, GSM, post-press processes (binding, lamination, etc.).
  • Experience handling B2B customer quotations and costing breakdowns.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
