University Placement Head

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the Training and Placement Cell, ensuring its effective functioning in engaging with industries, corporates, and organizations for successful campus recruitment, internships, and comprehensive employability enhancement programs. The Head will be responsible for designing forward-thinking placement strategies, developing and sustaining strong corporate relationships, and mentoring students to achieve their desired career outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Planning & Industry Connect

• Develop and implement an annual placement strategy aligned with the institutions overall goals.
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with leading organizations and industry partners across various sectors.
• Identify emerging employment sectors and align student training and development programs accordingly.

B. Placement Operations

• Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and placement events.
• Coordinate all logistical requirements with company representatives for pre-placement talks, interviews, and selection processes.
• Maintain accurate and updated placement data, records, and detailed analytics across all academic departments.

C. Student Career Readiness

• Design and implement effective pre-placement training modules covering communication, aptitude, group discussion, and interview preparation.
• Conduct mock interviews, resume writing sessions, and various employability skill programs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them align their career aspirations with current industry needs and trends.

D. Coordination & Collaboration

• Collaborate with academic departments, internal training teams, and HR personnel to align and execute all employability initiatives.
• Coordinate and secure internship opportunities, organize industry visits, and establish corporate mentoring programs for students.
• Liaise actively with alumni to strengthen industry linkages and generate new placement opportunities.

E. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare detailed quarterly and annual placement reports for management review and accreditation purposes.
• Analyze placement trends and student performance data to identify areas for continuous improvement in strategies and training.
• Ensure complete transparency, documentation, and compliance in all placement activities and processes.
