Pizza Chef

Job Overview:

The Pizza Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas using fresh ingredients, following traditional and modern recipes. The role requires expertise in dough preparation, topping combinations, and oven management to ensure consistent taste and presentation.

Experience: 3-7 years

Location: Bandra west

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare pizza dough from scratch, ensuring proper fermentation and texture.
• Roll, stretch, and shape dough for various pizza styles.
• Select, prepare, and portion toppings for daily use.
• Assemble pizzas following restaurant recipes and customer requests.
• Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring proper temperature control.
• Monitor cooking times to produce consistently well-cooked pizzas.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, following food safety standards.
• Manage inventory levels of pizza ingredients and report shortages.
• Ensure timely preparation of pizzas during peak hours.
• Experiment with new flavors and recipes to enhance the menu.
• Adhere to all kitchen safety procedures and hygiene regulations.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Baker, or relevant role in a pizzeria or restaurant.
• In-depth knowledge of different pizza styles (Neapolitan, New York-style, Sicilian, etc.).
• Ability to hand-stretch dough and manage multiple pizzas simultaneously.
• Familiarity with different types of pizza ovens (wood-fired, gas, electric).
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent knife skills and ingredient preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
