Piping Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review
Piping GA drawings, Isometric drawings, 3D models, Pipe supports, Bill of Materials (BOM)
, and fabrication drawings.
Perform
clash detection and resolution
in 3D piping models.
Coordinate with draftspersons and other design disciplines for drawing preparation and updates.
Independently check and validate
piping fabrication drawings
,
support drawings
, and related documentation for
Water Treatment Plants
.
Carry out
thickness calculations, pipe sizing
, and
Material of Construction (MOC) selection
.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Process to align design intent.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to a team of junior piping designers.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, project specifications, and safety codes.

Software Proficiency

AutoCAD
Pro-Pipe
Autodesk Plant 3D
CADWorx
MS Office
(Excel, Word, Outlook)
Hands-on experience with
STAAD
will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
