Role Overview: As a motivated PhD student at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University, you will have the opportunity to conduct original research in areas such as Intelligent Transportation Systems, Intelligent Vehicles (AGV, UAV, AUV), Human Factors, and Sustainable Mobility. You will be expected to conduct independent and collaborative research under faculty supervision, design experiments, collect and analyze data, contribute to scholarly publications, present findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and international networks, contribute to teaching and mentoring undergraduate/graduate students, and engage in academic activities that strengthen the research ecosystem of the university. This position is on-site at Ahmedabad University (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India), offering access to labs, an academic community of various fields, and opportunities for global collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct independent and collaborative research under faculty supervision - Design experiments, collect and analyze data, and contribute to scholarly publications - Present findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and international networks - Contribute to teaching and mentoring undergraduate/graduate students - Engage in academic activities that strengthen the research ecosystem of the university Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field (Btech with conditions) - Strong foundation in research methodologies, data analysis, and experimental design - Proficiency with relevant tools/software (e.g., statistical analysis, modeling, or simulation tools) - Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team Additional Details: At Ahmedabad University, full-time doctoral students receive full tuition fee waivers and financial support through various means such as University Assistantship (40,000 per month + full tuition fee waiver), University Fellowship (50,000 per month + full tuition fee waiver), and Support through externally funded research projects.
