Job Description

Responsibilities

Prescription Fulfillment

: Attend prescriptions at the sales counter, ensure accurate dispensing, and provide advice on correct dosage and medication use.

Stock Management Substitution

: If prescribed medications are unavailable, source them from in-house pharmacies to ensure 100% fulfillment of the prescription.

Patient Counselling

: Provide patients/customers with detailed information on medication usage, potential side effects, and health advice to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Delivery Coordination

: Maintain a register for delivery requests and follow up to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medicines to customers.

Customer Support Inquiries

: Manage inbound calls with a focus on providing drug information, patient education, and responding to queries related to drug therapy, home delivery orders, and medication concerns.

Cash Handling

: Assist with cash transactions and billing at the counter when needed.

Proper Storage Security

: Ensure that all medications are stored correctly, including temperature sensitive drugs that require refrigeration and ensuring proper security measures are in place.

Inward Stock Inspection

: Conduct thorough checks of received stock, including quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date, before entering the data into the system.

Stock Entry Cross-Verification

: Accurately input stock data into the system and cross-check received items against the stores inventory records to maintain accuracy.

Regular Stock Audits

: Perform regular physical stock counts, categorizing by type (e.g., Tablets, Syrups, Injections, etc.) twice a week, and verify fast-moving items on a daily basis.

Regulatory Compliance

: Ensure compliance with state and national pharmacy laws, regulations, and HealthSy policies.

Requirements Skill

Must possess
D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm
from a recognised institution with a
valid Pharmacist License
, ready for endorsement as per statutory requirements.

Demonstrated ability to dispense medications accurately, verify prescriptions, and provide clear counselling to patients regarding dosage, usage, and potential side effects.

Minimum
1 year of hands-on experience
in a retail or hospital pharmacy, with proven exposure to prescription dispensing and day-to-day pharmacy operations.

Sound knowledge of
pharmacy laws, drug control regulations
, and maintenance of statutory registers, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

Experience in stock management, including procurement coordination, inward/outward entries, expiry monitoring, storage standards, and prevention of stock losses.

Strong communication, attention to detail, ethical conduct, and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently, manage responsibility, and collaborate effectively with the team.
