PHARMACY Incharge - OPD, punjabi bagh
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Pharmacist to join our team in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy operations, with a proven ability to manage surgical supplies and injectables. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Hospital Pharmacy Management: Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate dispensing, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Inventory Management: Expertly manage inventory of all pharmaceutical products, with a specialized focus on surgical items and injectables. This includes procurement, storage, distribution, and waste management to minimize loss and ensure availability.
Surgical & Injectable Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in handling, storing, and dispensing surgical supplies and a wide range of injectable medications, including understanding their specific storage requirements and administration protocols.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement and maintain high standards of quality control and assurance in all pharmacy operations. Ensure strict adherence to national and local pharmaceutical laws, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, mentor, and train junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Foster a collaborative and professional working environment.
Patient Safety: Prioritize patient safety through accurate medication dispensing, proper labeling, and providing medication counseling to healthcare professionals and patients as needed.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all dispensed medications, inventory levels, and controlled substances.
Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy and provide pharmaceutical expertise.
Budget Management (as applicable): Contribute to efficient resource utilization and potentially assist in managing the pharmacy budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Valid Pharmacist license issued by the Delhi Pharmacy Council.
Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience as a Hospital Pharmacist.
Demonstrable experience in managing hospital pharmacies, with a strong emphasis on surgical supplies and injectables.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their indications, dosages, side effects, and drug interactions.
Thorough understanding of inventory management principles for pharmaceuticals.
Excellent knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Good Pharmacy Practices).
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
