MD School seeks an experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics to deliver high-quality instruction aligned to CBSE standards, mentor students for board exams/competitive readiness, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, discipline, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver rigorous, student-centred lessons for Classes XI–XII (and IX–X if assigned) aligned with CBSE curriculum and NEP 2020 principles.
- Design assessments (formative/summative), analyse results, and drive remediation/enrichment.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations; optionally guide for Olympiads/JEE (Math) foundational problem-solving.
- Integrate technology and manipulatives (e.g., Desmos, GeoGebra, spreadsheets) and promote experiential learning via Math Lab/ATL activities.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, unit plans, question banks, and assessment rubrics.
- Uphold strong classroom management and pastoral care; communicate progress with parents in PTMs and via school systems.
- Contribute to school life: clubs, assemblies, events, competitions, and professional learning communities.
- Ensure student safeguarding and compliance with all school policies and statutory norms.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mathematics (M.Sc./M.A. Math or equivalent) from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. (mandatory for CBSE schools).
- Minimum 3 years of senior secondary teaching experience (preferably Classes XI–XII, CBSE).
- Strong command of core topics (Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Probability & Statistics, Vectors, 3D Geometry) and pedagogy.
- Excellent spoken and written English; proficient with basic EdTech tools (LMS, MS Office/Google Workspace).
Preferred/Good to Have
- CTET (Paper II) or state TET qualification.
- Experience as Class Teacher/Exam Coordinator/Board Practical/External Examiner.
- Record of student outcomes (board results, olympiad achievements).
- Training in inclusive education/differentiation; familiarity with NEP-aligned assessment practices.
