Role & responsibilities

Pellet Operator :

A. Pellet Mill Operation

• Operate pellet mill machinery as per defined SOP.
  
• Adjust roller, die gap, feeder, and steam flow for required pellet quality.
  
• Maintain correct conditioning temperature & moisture for smooth pelleting.
  
• Ensure smooth functioning of the conditioner, feeder, and cooler.
  

B. Quality Control

• Ensure pellet size, PDI, hardness, and fines percentage are within QA standards.
  
• Monitor moisture content during pelleting and cooling.
  
• Prevent cross-contamination between batches.
  

C. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct daily lubrication and minor preventive maintenance.
  
• Identify abnormal sounds, jamming, or overload and take corrective action.
  
• Assist in die & roller changing, belt tensioning, and general maintenance.
  
• Coordinate with mechanical & electrical teams during breakdowns.

Kanta Clerk & Weight Bridge Clerk :

A. Vehicle Weighing Operations

• Perform

  inward & outward weighing

  of all vehicles (raw material, packaging, finished goods, return loads).
• Ensure proper placement of vehicle on weighbridge for accurate reading.
  
• Record gross weight, tare weight, and net weight.
  
• Detect any abnormal weight difference and report immediately.
  

B. Documentation & Data Entry

• Prepare weighment slips, goods receipt (GRN), and delivery challans.
  
• Enter all weight data into ERP/Excel/Weighbridge software.
  
• Maintain daily weighment logs, summary reports, and registers.
  
• Ensure all documents (invoice, DO, e-way bill, purchase order) are verified before weighing.
  

C. Raw Material & Finished Goods Coordination

• Coordinate with

  Stores, Procurement, Production, and Dispatch

  for timely vehicle movement.
• Inform production and store teams about material arrivals and dispatch readiness.
  
• Keep track of inward materials: maize, rice bran, soya DOC, molasses, mineral mix, etc.
  
• Ensure no mixing or unauthorized material enters the plant.
