Position Name: Officer / Sr. Officer Department: Logistics & Dispatch Sub-Department: Weighbridge Operations Reporting to: Assistant Manager Logistics / Dispatch Head Role Objective: To ensure accurate and efficient weighment of incoming and outgoing materials while maintaining transparency, system integrity, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies. Role Responsibilities: Operate the weighbridge system to record the weights of all incoming and outgoing vehicles carrying materials. Maintain updated and accurate weighment logs, including vehicle details, tare weight, gross weight, net weight, and driver credentials. Verify documents such as challans, gate passes, and delivery orders before initiating weighment. Coordinate with security, stores, dispatch, and logistics departments for smooth vehicle flow and operational efficiency. Ensure timely data entry into the ERP / SAP / weighbridge software and prepare weighment reports for MIS. Monitor camera and security systems linked with the weighbridge and report any discrepancies or unauthorized activity. Conduct periodic checks and calibrations of the weighbridge equipment in coordination with maintenance and third-party vendors. Adhere strictly to SOPs, safety norms, and company guidelines while operating the weighbridge. Escalate any irregularities or malfunctioning of the weighbridge system to the concerned authority immediately. Environmental Compliance: Monitor and reduce environmental impacts associated with operations, e.g., preventing spillage or dust generation. Energy Policy Awareness: Support energy-saving initiatives and operate equipment responsibly to optimize energy usage.
