Responsibilities

PAYROLL

1. Monthly payroll process -Liaison with HR to get the input in time

2. Monthly payroll process - Check the input and enter the same in Payroll Software

3. Assisting with checking the calculation of the pay sheet processed

4. Monthly reconciliation of Salary and reimbursement payable

5. Monthly payroll Bank processing

6. Monthly Accruals for Payroll, Reimbursements, Gratuity and EL

7. Actuary Valuation annually

8. Audit Schedules for statutory payouts

Statutory payouts and returns-Withholding Tax and Payroll

1. Ensure due deduction of TDS and timely deposit of tax

2. Ensure timely filing of TDS returns

3. Keep record of TDS certificates- Form 16

4. Keep record of TDS monthly challans -Salary Only

5. Coordinate with Payroll vendor-ADP for any issue resolution

6. Payroll Taxes ( PF,ESI,)

7. Ensure due deductions and employers contributions of payroll taxes

8. Ensure timely deposit of monthly payroll taxes

9. Ensure timely fining of statutory returns.

10. Keep proper records of challans, returns and other relevant documents.

11. Coordinate with HR for PF transfer cases

12. Managing NPS Deductions

13. Managing MIS of employee reimbursement Proofs submitted under Section 80 C of Income Tax Act 1961, collection of Tax exempted Proofs and entering details for internal MIS and handling declarations etc

14. Handling Wellness Reimbursement and queries for employees

Key Competencies

  • Computer Literacy-

    Advanced MS-Excel Skills, Proficiency in MS-Word, Outlook and Tally ERP,Exposure of Netsuite ERP.
  • Communication Skills-

    Good communication skills both in written and verbal forms
  • Adaptability & Other skills-

    Ability to adapt, prioritize and multi-task. Strong analytical and planning skills with accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Exposure to ADP is preferred
  • Team Management-

    Should be competent to manage and coordinate with other key teams like HR etc. Prior people management experience preferred.
  • Customer Centricity-

    Very high on employee centricity
