Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Salary Range: SR 3500 - SR 4200 Location: KSA (Riyadh/Jeddah/Dammam) Job Purpose/Objective Responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), utilizing professional knowledge and skills in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Ensure that assigned patients receive required multidisciplinary care promptly. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Receive assigned patients according to daily assignments. Apply the Nursing Care process to assigned patients based on approved policies. Develop individualized Nursing Care plans in collaboration with other team members, tailored to the critical needs of ICU patients. Monitor patient status closely, promptly reporting any deviations or abnormal findings to the team leader and attending physician. Execute doctor's orders accurately and in a timely manner, including interventions such as administering medications, adjusting ventilator settings, and providing life-saving measures. Provide individualized patient/family education based on their needs, considering the critical nature of ICU care. Document patient assessment findings, responses to nursing interventions, and status progress accurately and comprehensively. Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures as needed, being prepared to respond to sudden changes in patient condition. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while ensuring continuous monitoring and care. Maintain mandatory unit-specific competency as per the approved competency matrix, recognizing the specialized skills required for ICU nursing. Demonstrate flexibility to meet work needs, including being available for pull-out or floating assignments within the ICU. Adhere to JCIA/CBAHI standards, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety protocols. Provide clinical supervision and support to the assigned shift whenever designated as shift in charge (team leader), overseeing critical care delivery and coordinating with the healthcare team. Conduct rounds in the ICU, reporting any unusual incidents to nursing supervision, attending doctor rounds, and participating in patient status presentations and endorsements. Attend departmental education/training activities and meetings, staying updated on advances in critical care nursing. Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by the hospital, recognizing the importance of holistic care for critically ill patients. Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity, even in the challenging environment of the ICU. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned by the charge nurse/head nurse within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities, recognizing the dynamic nature of ICU nursing. Departments ICU Education/Professional Qualification Bachelors Degree in Nursing/GNM Experience Minimum two years of experience in the relevant field, with a focus on critical care nursing. BLS or relevant certifications. Valid license from the home country. Implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs to maintain and improve patient care standards, leading continuous improvement initiatives in nursing practices and patient care, and managing the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies are part of your duties. When it comes to patient & family advocacy, you are expected to advocate for patients" rights and ensure they receive personalized and ethical care. Acting as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to address concerns and enhance the patient experience is critical. Leading patient education initiatives focused on neurorehabilitation and recovery is also part of your role. Regarding resource management, you will be responsible for managing the nursing budget, including staffing, equipment, and supply allocation. Ensuring the availability and proper maintenance of medical equipment and supplies, collaborating with the finance department to manage costs, and improving resource efficiency are essential responsibilities. In crisis management, you will lead the response to medical emergencies and crisis situations within the neurorehabilitation centre. Developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, as well as providing training for nursing staff, are crucial aspects of this role.,
