Packaging Development Specialist

As an Executive Packaging enthusiast, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into captivating packaging designs that resonate with consumers. Your passion for materials, knack for problem-solving, and background in Packaging Science will be instrumental in creating packaging that complements the products it houses. Your primary responsibilities will include aiding in the development of innovative packaging designs for cosmetic products, starting from the conceptual stage to final production. You will collaborate with the packaging team to identify, sample, and assess primary and secondary packaging components. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, you will ensure that the packaging aligns with brand standards, functional requirements, and budget constraints. Additionally, you will assist in conducting compatibility and stability tests of formulas with packaging materials, maintaining technical specifications, managing deadlines and drawings, and participating in line trials and quality inspections at manufacturing facilities. Your role will also involve tracking packaging samples, organizing the library, and supporting in the upkeep of packaging databases. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or Postgraduate diploma in Packaging Science, with internship or co-op experience in packaging or manufacturing being a valuable asset. A solid grasp of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and familiarity with CAD software such as ArtiosCAD or SolidWorks will be beneficial. Your strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and capacity to handle multiple projects with precision will be essential for success. Keeping abreast of industry packaging trends, innovations, and sustainable material options will also be a crucial part of your role.
