Position Details Job Title: Packaging Development Specialist Department: Packaging & Product Experience Required: 1-2 years in packaging development or related field Employment Type: Full-time Location: Manesar Key Responsibilities : Product Development & Innovation Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products Collaborate with cross-functional teams on packaging requirements Create packaging prototypes and conduct feasibility studies Research and evaluate new packaging materials, technologies, and trends Ensure packaging meets product protection, shelf-life, and brand requirements Technical & Compliance Prepare detailed packaging specifications and technical drawings Conduct packaging testing (drop tests, compression, barrier properties) Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry guidelines Maintain packaging documentation and change control processes Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards Project Management Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously from concept to launch Coordinate with suppliers for sample development and production trials Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables Present packaging concepts and recommendations to stakeholders Support packaging qualification and validation activities Supplier & Vendor Management Work closely with packaging suppliers and vendors Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct supplier audits Negotiate packaging specifications and lead times Monitor supplier performance and quality metrics Required Qualifications : Education & Experience Masters degree in Packaging(IIP). 1-2 years of experience in packaging development, product development, or manufacturing Experience with packaging materials (plastics, glass, metal, paper/cardboard) Technical Skills Knowledge of packaging testing methods and equipment Understanding of printing processes and graphic design basics Familiarity with packaging machinery and production processes Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, FSSAI, etc.) Software Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Project management tools (MS Project, Trello, or similar) Preferred Qualifications Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Goods industry Knowledge of sustainable packaging solutions and eco-friendly materials Understanding of supply chain and logistics considerations Experience with packaging cost analysis and optimization Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO standards) Key Competencies : Technical Competencies Packaging design and development Material science fundamentals Problem-solving and analytical thinking Quality assurance and testing protocols Cost analysis and optimization Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills Team collaboration and cross-functional working Project management and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Adaptability and willingness to learn Creative thinking and innovation mindset What We Offer Professional Development Comprehensive training programs Mentorship opportunities with senior packaging professionals Exposure to cutting-edge packaging technologies Career advancement opportunities Work Environment Modern, well-equipped laboratory and testing facilities Collaborative and innovative work culture Opportunities to work on diverse product categories Access to latest packaging software and tools
