Job Description

The AM Outlet Manager at Arlo Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the food and beverage department. Your main role will be to uphold the highest standards within the department while adhering to fiscal guidelines and budgets. As the Breakfast Manager, you will welcome and seat guests, as well as maximize the selling potential of the breakfast area. Additionally, you will provide consistent leadership and support to the service team and assist in the smooth operation of the Front of House. Your responsibilities will include training, scheduling, motivating, and disciplining staff members such as hosts, servers, food runners, and in-room dining personnel. You will act as a liaison between the F&B team and counterparts at the Front Desk, Kitchen, and other departments. Building relationships with both internal and external guests to ensure top-notch service is also a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency in the Food and Bar program. Key Responsibilities And Authorities: - Attend staff, Food & Beverage meetings, and other F&B business-related meetings. - Perform Manager on Duty shifts. - Monitor and control labor costs according to budgetary restrictions. - Maintain control over all other expenses. - Complete daily manager checklists. - Foster open communication with all departments. - Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff to review daily business information. - Inspect, plan, and ensure all materials and equipment are ready for service. - Have thorough knowledge of the P.O.S. system and maintain system requirements for the beverage program. - Enforce uniform standards and address any deficiencies. - Be fully informed about menu items, preparation, and service requirements in all designated areas. - Inspect bar, service, and function areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, and correct set-up. - Stay updated on in-house guest and group activities and special requirements. - Maintain constant communication with guests, staff, and the kitchen. - Implement and monitor processes to ensure staff have necessary working stock before their shifts. - Hold staff accountable for attendance and adherence to departmental procedures. - Ensure all staff closing duties are completed before sign out. - Adhere strictly to state liquor regulations. - Supervise and monitor staff to ensure the quality of service and products provided to guests. - Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests. - Be knowledgeable about hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to accurately respond to guest inquiries. - Handle guest complaints efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction. - Assign and supervise closing duties and tasks. Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of similar experience. - Understanding of reservations systems such as Resort Pass & Seven Rooms.
