Orthopedic Surgeon Consultant for Bulandshahr Uttar Pradesh location

About The Opportunity

Primary job title (standardised):

• Deliver safe, evidence-based operative and non-operative orthopaedic care across elective and emergency cases, including joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma fixation.
• Perform and supervise complex procedures: total/partial arthroplasty, arthroscopic interventions, ORIF, external fixation, and relevant spine procedures when indicated.
• Lead preoperative assessment, perioperative management and postoperative follow-up to optimise clinical outcomes and reduce complications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with anaesthesiology, physiotherapy, radiology and nursing to streamline patient pathways and enhance functional recovery.
• Manage on-call duties for orthopaedic emergencies, provide timely decision-making for trauma admissions and inter-hospital referrals.
• Contribute to clinical governance: maintain accurate documentation, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and support quality improvement initiatives.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MS or DNB in Orthopaedics
• Valid medical registration with the relevant state medical council
• Proven operative experience in joint replacement, arthroscopy and trauma fixation
• Competence in perioperative care and management of orthopaedic emergencies
• Strong ability to interpret musculoskeletal imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI)
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Bulandshahr with rotational on-call commitments
  

Preferred

• Fellowship or focused training in joint replacement, arthroscopy, or trauma surgery
• Experience setting up or mentoring in orthopaedic operating theatre workflows and clinical governance
• Advanced life support certification (ACLS) and trauma course (ATLS)
