ROLEPURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

• EnsureDR database migration exercise is completed once in everyquarter.
• Completemonth end database back-up activities on a timely basis tohandover banking systems to business on the 1st of every month.
• Numberof vendors / consultants Operational related Managing 2 to 3 vendors.
• Numberof portfolio products Managing Database Server environments of around 50+applications.
• Volumeof products and services Managing Database servers running with 24 critical applicationsand 26+ non-critical applications, supporting DR Drills,Supporting closure of RBI CSITE, Internal / External / Concurrentaudits of IT Infrastructure department. Tracking the SSLcertificates of all the applications.

Business/Financials

• Managingdatabase licenses according to the business needs.
• Maintaininginventory of Databases in use.
• Understandingdifferent type licensing models available and using themstrategically for the business

• Co-coordinatingwith application vendors for Database related activities.
• Identifiesdatabase requirements by interviewing customers (business users);analyzing department applications, programming, and operations;evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems

• Monitoringand tuning health of Databases
• DatabaseUser access management
• Installationand configuration of database.
• Databaseservers Patch or service packs update.
• Preparationof Weekly/Monthly Reports.
• Databasecompliance management.
• Sustainthe security and integrity of data
• Maintaindatabase performance by calculating optimum values for databaseparameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenancerequirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardwareproducts.
