About The Opportunity
Healthcare — Ophthalmology & Eye Care sector: a busy eye hospital and eye centre serving patients across Ghaziabad and surrounding NCR. We deliver comprehensive eye care services including outpatient consultations, optical dispensing, cataract and refractive surgery packages, and diagnostic imaging. This role is for an on-site ophthalmic patient counselor who can explain clinical packages, convert enquiries into booked appointments, and work alongside clinical and optical teams to deliver an outstanding patient experience.Role & Responsibilities
- Explain clinical packages (cataract, LASIK/refractive, specialty retina procedures, optical frames/lenses) clearly and accurately to patients and caregivers.
- Manage inbound and walk-in enquiries—qualify needs, present recommended care pathways, and close bookings for consultations, diagnostics, and surgery.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and pre‑op workflows using the hospital’s PMS/EMR; ensure timely confirmations and reminders.
- Work with optometrists and surgeons to clarify treatment plans, follow-up schedules, and pricing/financing options for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records, track conversion metrics, and report weekly booking performance to the centre manager.
- Upsell relevant optical products and ancillary services ethically to meet individual patient needs while achieving monthly sales targets.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Qualified Optometrist (B.Optom / Diploma in Optometry) with current practice in an eye centre or hospital.
- Proven experience in patient counselling and sales within an ophthalmology or optical retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of common ophthalmic procedures and package components (e.g., cataract, refractive surgery, premium IOLs, spectacles).
- Comfortable using Practice Management Software / EMR for bookings, patient records, and billing.
- Fluent in Hindi and English; excellent interpersonal presence for patient-facing conversions.
- Available to work on-site in Ghaziabad with flexible shifts as required for outpatient flow.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a high-volume eye hospital or multi-speciality clinic in NCR.
- Familiarity with optical dispensing and inventory basics.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding monthly booking/sales targets; basic training or certification in sales/consultative selling.
