As an optometrist, your role involves diagnosing and treating vision problems and eye diseases, prescribing corrective eyewear, and providing comprehensive eye care. You will be responsible for performing eye exams, analyzing results, and recommending appropriate treatments, including vision therapy or low vision rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and ocular health. - Identify and manage vision problems and eye diseases, such as glaucoma or cataracts. - Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses to correct vision issues. - Provide vision therapy or low vision rehabilitation as needed. - Educate patients on eye care, preventive measures, and treatment plans. - Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals. - Maintain accurate patient records. - Stay updated on advancements in optometric practices and technology.
