Job Description

Job Summary:

Optometrist

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct vision tests and analyze results to diagnose vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
Prescribe, fit, and dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders, and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
Educate patients on proper eye care, preventive measures, and lens usage.
Maintain accurate patient records, including test results, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
Stay updated with advancements in optometry, diagnostic equipment, and treatment protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Optometry (B.Optom / M.Optom).
Valid license/registration as per local regulatory authority.
Proven experience as an Optometrist or in a similar role.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle patients with care and empathy.
