Opportunity for Outside Rear View Mirror (ORVM) Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirror) & IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) Design Engineer with a strong background in automotive mirror systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in design, development, and validation of ORVM/IRVM components for passenger vehicles, with a solid understanding of homologation, manufacturing processes, and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of ORVM & IRVM systems from concept to production.
• Ensure compliance with global homologation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including styling, packaging, and manufacturing.
• Prepare and review 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Conduct design reviews and DFMEA for mirror systems.
• Interface with suppliers for tooling feasibility and manufacturing readiness.
• Support prototype development and testing activities.
• Address design changes and improvements based on feedback and validation results.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6–12 years of experience in automotive ORVM/IRVM design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mirror system components, materials, and mechanisms.
• Familiarity with vehicle integration, ergonomics, and styling constraints.
• Experience in homologation and regulatory compliance for mirror systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes like injection molding, painting, and assembly.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
