Job Title: Area Manager -Operations

Department: Operations

Reports To: Regional / Zonal Operations Manager

Location: Gurugram

Job Summary:

The Area Manager-Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant/kitchen outlets within the assigned territory. The role focuses on operational excellence, cost control, people management, customer satisfaction, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and food safety norms.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Supervise and ensure smooth operations of all assigned outlets/kitchens.
  • Monitor daily sales, production, and service quality metrics.
  • Ensure all outlets meet company standards in hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Implement operational SOPs and audit compliance regularly.
  • Manage stock levels, procurement, and wastage control efficiently.

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate outlet managers, chefs, and ground staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective shift planning.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.

Sales & Profitability

  • Drive sales and revenue targets for each outlet.
  • Monitor P&L statements and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and service.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all outlets.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze feedback and take corrective measures for continuous improvement.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, FSSAI, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain documentation and reports as per company and legal requirements.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly performance reports.
  • Coordinate with central teams (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.) for operational support.
  • Execute new product launches, promotional campaigns, and training programs in assigned areas.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of QSR or food service operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data-driven reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Hotel Management / Business Administration / Food Technology or related field.
  • 2-7 years of experience in QSR, restaurant chain, or cloud kitchen operations.
  • Experience in managing multiple outlets or regions preferred.
