Job Responsibilities · Cultivates a culture of continuous improvement. · Creates and maintains appropriate policies, systems, procedures, resources and Time management. · Directs the laboratory operations and establishes standard operating procedures (SOP) to support achievement of Company objectives and business plans. · Establishes process that meet or exceed guidelines set by compliance agencies such as ISO/IEC 17025. · Ensures that service activities are timely completed in accordance with established safety, quality standards and procedures. · Develops systems and material to train, monitor and assess employee activities as established by Standard Operating Procedures. · Develops and empowers staff in support of our client’s values and culture. · Develops talent, by coaching team members, providing development opportunities, prioritizing talent discussions, providing regular performance feedback, assessing, and assigning resources, providing training and cross-training opportunities. · Proactively support our client’s Quality System. · Ensures full compliance with all safety, regulatory and legal requirements including health, safety, employment, data protection, environment, and general duty of care towards, customers, suppliers, employees, and other business partners. · Conducts regular lab meetings to create cohesive work environment and facilitates effective communication within the lab. · Participates and leads regular cross functional meetings with teams that have close interdependency on laboratory functions in order meet or exceed expected production levels; including but not limited to, Inventory, Project Management, Client Services, Quality, and Logistics teams. · Researches, recommends, and applies conventional and new technology concepts to potential products and processes. · Ensures all equipment is maintained appropriately (calibrations, PT, ILC, etc). · Keeps track of spending and create department budgets for personnel, operating expenses, and capital equipment. · Establishes and maintains appropriate staff levels. · Represents laboratory in areas of safety, quality, operations, etc. · Acts as technical resource for questions relating testing and general lab processing. · Works closely with business units to provide effective solutions to support operations, sales, marketing, R&D, and quality objectives. · Establishes and reports on metrics that support the department and company goals. · Stays informed and current with respect to new developments and changes in test and production methods and techniques. · Identifying new vertical scope and implementing complete cycle to add in the existing lab scope by discussing with partners. · Other duties as assigned.
