Operations Manager

Role & responsibilities

overseeing non-instructional functions like budget management, facilities, and compliance to ensure a smooth and efficient educational environment

• Budget and finance:

  Manage operational budgets, oversee financial planning, and support fundraising or income-generating activities.

• Facilities and maintenance:

  Oversee the maintenance, security, and efficient use of the school's buildings and grounds. This includes managing contractors for repairs and upkeep.

• Health and safety:

  Act as the health and safety coordinator, ensuring policies are communicated and implemented, hazards are identified through risk assessments, and emergency plans are in place and practiced.

• Staff and HR:

  Manage and supervise administrative and support staff, and help implement HR policies and procedures.

• Compliance and administration:

  Ensure the school complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Manage key administrative systems and support the school's IT infrastructure.

• Operations and logistics:

  Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless daily operations and provide logistics support for school events.

• Vendor and contract management:

  Oversee and manage contracts with external vendors for services like cleaning and catering.

Required skills and qualifications
