Role : Job Title: Site Operations Manager – Rake Handling & Logistics (Joda Site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accountable and process-driven Site Operations Manager to oversee rake handling, unloading, loading, and overall ground logistics coordination at our Joda railway siding operation for Tata.

This role is a hands-on operations leadership position, requiring close coordination with railway authorities, ground staff, maintenance teams, and local community stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across inbound and outbound rakes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Rake Handling & Ground Execution

● Ensure timely placement and release of incoming (unloading) and outgoing (loading) rakes (~25 rakes/month).

● Supervise and coordinate with operators for efficient unloading into Hyvas / dumpers.

● Ensure complete rake evacuation within ≤4 shifts as per operational SLAs.

● Minimize PC (Placement Charges) and Demurrage liabilities through proactive monitoring and coordination.

● Be present during crucial loading operations as DC (Detention Charges) are critically linked to supervision and planning.

2. Maintenance & Fleet Readiness

● Ensure 100% readiness of Hyvas / payload vehicles—tracking repairs, downtime, and workshop follow-ups.

● Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and vendor follow-ups.

3. Liaison & Stakeholder Coordination

● Maintain smooth relations with Railway authorities (Station Master, Controllers, etc.).

● Coordinate effectively with Tata representatives and yard supervisors.

● Engage with local community stakeholders to ensure operational harmony.

4. Safety & Compliance

● Enforce strict compliance across PPE usage, signaling protocols, and site safety SOPs.

● Conduct monthly safety audits and toolbox talks.
