Operations Manager

Role & responsibilities

Projects:

• Activity and resource planning.
• Organizing and motivating the project and plant teams to deliver results.
• Cost estimating, arriving at the budget and ensuring that the project is completed within budget.
• Analyzing and managing project risk to ensure that they are addressed well in advance.
• Monitoring progress to ensure that the project is completed on time.

Production:

• Involve from conceptualisation and scaling up of processes.
• Optimise production process considering all 4 Ms Man, Machine, Material & Money
• Review Production plan and optimise it.
• Ensure that products are produced on time and are of expected quality.
• Monitoring production processes and involve in Production planning.
• Monitor product standards and implementing Quality Control and Food Safety programs.
• Manage vendor relationships to provide critical oversight and ensure high quality standards
• Define all workflows, communicate documented processes, and ensures all practices are being refined and tuned with learnings.
• Analyse failures in the lines and arrive at proper Corrective and Preventive actions.
• Coordinate with different functions like Stores, QA, Sales, Maintenance.
• Work with Manager to implement the company's Vision, policies and goals.
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
• Implement 5S in the plant.

Supervise and motivate the plant team.

• Ensure a good working atmosphere with the workmen and staff.
• Ensure discipline in the plant.
• Review team performance of the plant personnel.
• Identify training needs of the entire plant team and ensure to drive it.

Maintenance:

• Oversee the Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance Program and activities in the facility.
• Minimize repair time, cost and loss due to production stoppages
• Implement all Safety Related Programs, Practices and procedures related to Maintenance and plant. Eliminate accidents through regular inspection and upkeep of safety devices. Ensure that the Fire Hydrant and ETP systems are in proper working condition.
• Assist in implementing plant improvement and expansion activities.
• Ensure that the utilities are supplied to Production without fail.
• Efficient use of maintenance personnel and equipment.
• Analyse the utilities consumption pattern and arrive at means to reduce costs.
• Assess, monitor and optimise spares consumption.
• Analyse the Breakdown of each line and arrive at a proper Corrective and Preventive action for the same.
• Liaison with the EB and PCB officials.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / BTech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with around 12 to 15 years experience.
• Experience in Aqua Industry will be an added advantage.
