Job Description

Job Summary:

  1. Operational Supervision

    • Ensure smooth functioning of all hospital departments during the night shift (ICU, IPD, Emergency, Lab, Radiology, Security, Housekeeping, etc.).
    • Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
    • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and support staff to resolve operational issues promptly.
  2. Patient Care Coordination

    • Ensure patient satisfaction and attend to any complaints or issues raised by patients or attendants during the night.
    • Monitor patient services and ensure timely response from all departments.
  3. Staff Management

    • Supervise attendance, punctuality, and discipline of night shift staff.
    • Reassign staff if required to ensure adequate coverage in all critical areas.
    • Report absenteeism or misconduct to HR and the Administrator.
  4. Emergency Handling

    • Take charge in case of any medical or non-medical emergencies.
    • Ensure immediate coordination with concerned consultants and emergency teams.
  5. Safety and Security

    • Ensure proper functioning of security personnel and CCTV monitoring.
    • Handle incidents like patient aggression, theft, or safety breaches as per protocol.
  6. Reporting and Documentation

    • Maintain a detailed night shift report mentioning key activities, incidents, and patient updates.
    • Submit handover reports to the morning administrative team.
  7. Facility Management

    • Ensure cleanliness, availability of utilities, and maintenance of equipment during the night.
    • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and biomedical teams as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum

    5 years

    of experience in hospital operations, preferably with night shift or supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
