Job Description

Activity Planning & Execution

  • Design and implement a monthly calendar of recreational, cultural, and wellness activities
  • Organize group events such as music therapy, yoga, art classes, games, storytelling, and festival celebrations
  • Coordinate outings and in-house events with safety and accessibility in mind
  • Customize activities to suit varying cognitive and physical abilities

Resident Engagement

  • Encourage participation through one-on-one interactions and group motivation
  • Monitor resident feedback and adapt programs accordingly
  • Collaborate with nursing and care-giving staff to ensure activities align with care plans

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Capture photos and videos of resident activities (with consent) for internal and external sharing
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) to showcase community life
  • Work with the marketing team to highlight events, resident stories, and wellness initiatives
  • Maintain digital archives of events and media assets

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain attendance records and activity logs
  • Prepare monthly reports on resident engagement and program effectiveness
  • Assist in documenting behavioral observations during activities for care team review

Collaboration & Communication

  • Liaise with external facilitators, volunteers, and family members for special events
  • Work closely with the Wellness, Nursing, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to resident care planning

Core Competencies

  • Empathy and patience in working with elderly individuals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity in designing inclusive and therapeutic programs
  • Basic knowledge of dementia, mobility limitations, and age-related conditions
  • Content creation skills including photography, videography, and basic editing
  • Knowledge of using software applications like Canva, Visme or similar software for content management.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital storytelling

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Communication, Recreation Therapy, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in elder care, hospitality, or community engagement roles
  • Experience in Event management, Digital marketing, assisted living or geriatric settings is highly desirable

Working Hours

  • 6 days a week
  • Flexibility required for evening or weekend events
