Job Description

As the Supply Chain Manager for a regional or global business unit, you will be responsible for managing supply chain processes to ensure optimal efficiency and performance. Your role will involve collaborating with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain current business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and streamline operational processes. You will also support priority projects and communicate requirements effectively to the planning teams. Your key responsibilities will include managing various aspects of the supply chain such as inventory analysis, order fulfillment, import/export operations, and shipping. You will utilize IT systems to produce reports, analyze data, and develop trends for supply and demand activities. Additionally, you will lead the analysis for backlog management and gather demand data from different sources to contribute to demand planning. Collaboration with regional and global business unit planning teams will be essential to maintain and enhance current business processes. You will drive business outcomes and operational excellence by continuously reviewing processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Furthermore, you will provide training and guidance to junior staff members to support their professional development. To be successful in this role, it is recommended to have a four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, relevant work experience or demonstrated competence will be considered. Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and Certified Professional in Supply Management. You should possess knowledge and skills in areas such as Continuous Improvement Process, Data Analysis, Enterprise Resource Planning, Inventory Management, Lean Manufacturing, Procurement, SAP Applications, and Supply Chain Management. Cross-organizational skills such as Effective Communication, Results Orientation, Learning Agility, Digital Fluency, and Customer Centricity will also be valuable in this role. In terms of impact and scope, you will influence the immediate team and provide analysis and limited project direction input. The complexity of the role involves responding to routine issues within established guidelines.
