Job Profile

• Having good hands on knowledge on installation of middleware products (apache http server, tomcat, WebSphere, MQ, Jboss & Docker or micro services).
• Daily morning checklist will be prepared for services in scope and check the alerts (Middleware File system, connection pool, applications services in scope) provided by customers operations team.
• Checking for impending problems, triggering appropriate actions
• Check database connectivity
• Monitor and Check the application server logs, alert notifications in case of issue.
• Start up and Shutdown of application server instances
• Support to known errors and problems
• Installation and Configuration of application server software for the instances in scope.
• Pre-Installation tasks for the instances in scope
• Un-installation for the instances in scope
• Applying Upgrades, Patches, Fix packs for issue resolution in consultation with protean eGov, after establishing the technical feasibility and impact on other systems
• Application server configuration for instance in scope
• Tomcat / Apache Web-server:--SSL configuration and Configuration with Application Server
• Carry out Upgrade (load, customize, tune new version) if mandatory or for resolution of any issue. This activity will be carried out in consultation with protean eGov, after establishing the technical feasibility and impact on other systems
• Tomcat manager page configuration.
• Configure parameters for Tomcat & Apache In concurrence with Application team and customer.
• Housekeeping and archival as per customer policy
• Implement Apache & tomcat security measures as per the rules defined by customer.
• Assist the protean eGov team in providing files for performing Backup and Restoration on need basis
• Carry out DR activity related to Middleware Servers in scope only as per the current Customer DR policy in force.
