OPD Incharge

Key Responsibilities: 1. OPD Operations Management Oversee daily functioning of the OPD including patient flow, waiting times, and smooth coordination of services. Ensure doctors’ consultation schedules are properly managed and adhered to. Coordinate with diagnostic, pharmacy, billing, and reception teams for seamless service delivery. Manage patient appointment systems and walk-ins to minimize overcrowding. 2. Staff Supervision & Training Supervise OPD staff (receptionists, OPD coordinators, nursing staff, attendants, housekeeping, etc.). Assign duties and prepare duty rosters for OPD staff. Conduct regular training and orientation sessions for OPD staff on patient handling, soft skills, and NABH protocols. Monitor staff performance and report to HR/administration. 3. Patient Care & Satisfaction Ensure patients are greeted, guided, and assisted properly during OPD visits. Handle escalated patient complaints and grievances in a professional manner. Monitor patient feedback and take corrective action for service improvement. 4. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH accreditation standards. Monitor cleanliness, safety, and infection control practices in the OPD area. Maintain and review OPD records, registers, and MIS reports. Ensure proper documentation of consent forms, medical records, and billing processes. 5. Coordination & Communication Act as a link between consultants, hospital administration, and OPD staff. Coordinate with other departments (IPD, Diagnostics, Accounts, Marketing, etc.) for smooth operations. Participate in departmental and hospital-wide meetings. 6. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily/weekly/monthly OPD reports (patient statistics, doctor schedules, revenue, etc.). Report operational issues, incidents, and suggestions for improvement to the management.
