Job Title : Onsite Support Engineer (KPL Port, Ennore) Job Type : Permanent Working days : Monday to Saturday Experience : Freshers/1 year of experience Location : Kamarajar Port Ltd, Ennore, Chennai Key Responsibilities 1. System Monitoring and Maintenance: o Monitor and maintain Surveillance cameras and associated IT infrastructure. o Regularly check the functionality of Surveillance cameras, and Systems and ensure they are operational. 2. Network Support: o Assist in troubleshooting network-related issues. o Ensure connectivity of devices, including cameras and other surveillance equipment, with the central Server. 3. Surveillance Camera Support: o Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of Surveillance cameras. o Coordinate with vendors for advanced support or repairs. 4. System Configuration and Support: o Support the setup and configuration of Windows and Linux-based systems (Linux knowledge is an added advantage). o Ensure all systems meet the required security and operational standards. 5. Reporting and Documentation: o Maintain logs of activities and generate reports for system performance and issues. o Document troubleshooting processes for future reference. 6. Vendor Management: o Coordinate with vendors for procurement, maintenance, and issue resolution of equipment and services. o Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance from vendors. 7. Report Making: o Prepare and submit detailed reports on system performance, incidents, and project updates to stakeholders. o Ensure accuracy and clarity in all documentation. 8. Coordination: o Coordinate with the operations team to resolve system-related challenges. o Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations at the port. Required Qualifications  Diploma or Graduation in any relevant field.  Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure.  Fundamental understanding of Surveillance cameras.  Networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, IP configuration, etc.).  Basic knowledge of system operations on Windows and Linux platforms (Linux preferred but not mandatory). Skills and Competencies  Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.  Good communication skills.  Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Additional Information  The role requires the engineer to work on-site at Ennore, Chennai.  Support engineers may be required to handle emergencies and work flexible hours when necessary.
