Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, and factually accurate news stories, features, and opinion pieces in Odia.
• Edit and proofread Odia content to ensure grammatical accuracy, tone consistency, and readability.
• Translate English stories into Odia while preserving context and cultural nuance.
• Generate fresh, original ideas for content — from local issues to cultural narratives.
• Verify facts, spellings, and Odia transliterations before publishing.
• Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and the editorial team to produce digital-first stories.
• Ensure all Odia text is formatted correctly in Unicode for the website and social media.
• Stay updated on trending topics, current affairs, and social media conversations in Odisha.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Odia, Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Odia journalism, writing, or digital media.
