The project will collaborate with the state and district administration for enhanced scheme implementation, build capacities, and design and implement innovative pilots. The intervention will influence and aim to improve three adolescent health outcomes among school-going boys and girls in selected districts of UP. Increase knowledge on gender, reproductive health, and ways of maintaining good mental and physical health. Improving compliance with Weekly Iron & Folic Acid supplementation (WIFS) and deworming to contribute towards anemia reduction. Improve access to mental health services. Tenure : October 2024 – September 2025 (12 Months) Compensation: 3 Lakh Job Description About the Role: The School Counsellor will work in Bareilly District and report to the District Coordinator. The broad responsibilities of the role will be - 1. Working with Adolescents : Work with adolescents particularly in programs of RKSK (Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram), RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram), and School Health Programs (SHP). 2. Counselling : Use counselling skills to support, engage and guide adolescents on various adolescent health issues. Work on Mental Health : Address specific mental health concerns among adolescents and refer them to higher facilities. 4.
