North Indian Chef

Role Overview: As a North Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes including curries, tandoori items, breads, and biryanis. Your main focus will be to ensure that all dishes meet high standards in terms of taste, presentation, and ingredient quality. Additionally, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, potentially contribute to menu development, train junior kitchen staff, and operate kitchen equipment effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a wide range of North Indian dishes such as curries, tandoori items, breads, and biryanis - Ensure all dishes meet high standards for taste, presentation, and ingredient quality - Oversee daily kitchen operations including inventory, stock rotation, food storage, and portion control - Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen - Potentially contribute to menu planning, develop new recipes, and adapt existing ones - Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, recipes, food safety, and presentation - Safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment including specialized tools like tandoors and grills Qualification Required: - Prior experience as a North Indian Chef or similar role - In-depth knowledge of North Indian cuisine and cooking techniques - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality and consistency - Good communication skills and ability to train junior staff - Certification in food safety and hygiene practices is a plus Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including food provided, health insurance, life insurance, and paid sick time.
