Node.js / NestJS Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop scalable and secure microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js, preferably with NestJS or Express.js.
• Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools to enable real-time communication between systems (e.g., e-commerce orders, CRM events, call-center interactions).
• Collaborate closely with front-end teams (Next.js/React) to deliver clean APIs and seamless user experiences.
• Integrate and manage data systems: relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), caching (Redis), and search (Elasticsearch).
• Develop and maintain robust authentication/authorization systems using JWT, OAuth2, and SSO/Keycloak.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, or Chai, and participate in peer code reviews.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable, containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize production systems using logging and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Must-Have Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in Node.js (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS or Express.js.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design principles.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for microservice deployment.
• Understanding of backend security best practices: JWT, OAuth2, rate limiting, input validation, etc.

Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills :

• Exposure to Next.js or basic frontend knowledge to support better integration.
• Understanding of microservices patterns such as CQRS, Saga, and API Gateway.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, including payment gateways.
• Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Knowledge of WebRTC or VoIP technologies (beneficial for telephony or call-center modules).
• Performance optimization using Redis, Memcached, or other caching strategies.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in backend development. (This role can be adapted for junior or senior candidates based on skill level.)

Soft Skills :

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate across departments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear technical documentation.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
