Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Engineer to lead and execute the complete product development lifecycle — from idea generation and prototyping to tooling and mass production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of toy design, materials, manufacturing processes (especially plastic injection moulding), and child safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 Drive end-to-end product development — ideation, design, prototyping, testing, validation, and mass manufacturing.  Collaborate with product designers, marketing, and production teams to refine concepts and translate them into manufacturable products.  Create and review technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), 3D CAD models, and design documentation.  Identify appropriate manufacturing methods and vendors (in-house and outsourced).  Coordinate with mold/tooling suppliers for prototype and production tooling.  Evaluate product safety, quality standards (e.g., BIS, EN71), and compliance.  Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, quality issues, and suggest process improvements.  Ensure cost-effective designs while maintaining product safety and functionality.  Monitor pilot batches and handover to production with proper SOPs and QC parameters.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.3–6 years of experience in new product development in toys, consumer products, plastics, or electronics industries.  Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar).  Familiarity with plastic injection moulding, tooling, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and child safety standards.  Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.  Passion for product innovation and user-centric design.
