Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the NPD department starting from answering the enquiry to production sing the new items

Provide the optimized costing to the new enquiry

make the monthly/weekly/daily planning to NPD team( design, VMC, Pattern makers, development team.

Ensure that plan vs actual

Improve the yield, reduce the rejection of existing and new items

Run the NPD department in profits by treating it as a profit center

Make the work place safe and vibrant for all the NPD team

Motivate the team and ensure that all the team is doing the continuous improvement and following the Crescent core values

Reduce the fettling time, no of trials for the existing and new items

Technical feasibility: Co-ordinating with the marketing team to get the customers' product specifications and check the technical feasibility and sample submission after the customer approval. 2. Costing Provide the optimized costing to the new enquiry and prepare the RFQ. 3. Co-ordination Coordinating with the all Stakeholders to prepare the sample as per customer's requirement. To make the monthly/weekly/daily planning to NPD team( Design, VMC, Pattern Makers, Development team. To conceptualize the pattern/core box making process and give the guidance to the design and development team ensuring the overall work is aligned as per the customer requirement. 4. Documentation To check the APQP,PPAP, Trial Analysis sheet of sample, ECN, Sample records, Route Card. 5. Rejection analysis and Lean Mangement Improve the yield, reduce the rejection of existing and new items and reduce the fettling time, no of trials for the exisitng and new items. Make the work place safe and vibrant for all the NPD team 6. Implementation and sustenance of Crescent Foundry Core Values

Competencies Required :

15+ yrs exp in NPD in Ferrous Foundry ( must be in Manager for 3 yrs) Auto / Tractor Component industry Diploma / B Tech - Mechanical / Metallurgy CI+DI Foundry Knowledge Technical Feasibility Knowledge ( Costing Knowledge addition advantage) Methoding Knowledge Rejection Control APQP , PAPA standards knowledge Working Knowledge on HPML ( preferred from Horizontal flask less) Thinking of Continual Improvement Knowledge on Study of Simulation result and analysis Cycle Time Reduction ( Moulding and Fettling cycle time) Hands on working exp on software NX / Solid works Casting Simulation Sample Making Documentation Tool Manufacturing Leadership ( Manpower Management),Hands on experience in housings. Auto parts,

Knowledge in magma soft is an added advantage

In house pattern manufacturing knowledge working knowledge on rejection control, yield improvement , fettling cycle time reduction Analytical Can speak Hindi/English ( Gujarati language is additional advantage ) (English & Hindi Must) Computer skills ( excel /power point ) Can he settle Baroda Salary Fitment ,Team Management & Leadership Skills.
