An NPD (New Product Development) CNC role focuses on developing and optimizing CNC machining processes for new products. This involves tasks like setting up CNC machines, programming, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the process. It also includes analyzing and improving existing processes, as well as contributing to cost reduction and cycle time optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• NPD Process Development: Setting up and programming CNC machines for new components, ensuring parts meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Process Sheet Development: Setting up of the Process sheet for machining ensuring the standards
• Process Optimization: Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs in the CNC machining process.
• Tool List : Tools identification and preparing the list to optimise the cnc machining process
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues related to tooling, materials, programs, or operator performance.
• Quality Control: Ensuring parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards using precision measuring instruments.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as engineering and production, to streamline processes and achieve project goals.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all operations adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
• Documentation: Preparing process sheets, quality control plans, and setup sheets.
• Training and Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to other CNC operators and technicians.

Skills and Qualifications:

• CNC Programming and Setup: Proficiency in setting up and programming CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) using G-code or other relevant programming languages.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of machine tools, tooling selection, and machining processes.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machining.
• Quality Orientation: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Communication and Teamwork: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
• Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in CNC machining, with specific experience in NPD preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems: Knowhow of manufacturing ERP systems is often an advantage.

In essence, NPD CNC roles bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring new products are manufactured efficiently and to the required quality standards using CNC machining technology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹320,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
