Role: As Networking I NOC (Network Operations Center), you are responsible for performing monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, change management, problem management, installs/decommissioning and end-to-end lifecycle management for our customer s network infrastructure. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with network devices (routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points etc.) and interconnecting network transport (LAN/WAN).
Responsibilities:
- Responding to automated and/or manual alerts/events/incidents about network issues and initiating the resolution life cycle.
- Remote testing/triage to validate alert/event/incident.
- Contacting customer helpdesk and/or end user and guiding through initial triage/troubleshooting to isolate network issues to hardware/cabling/transport.
- Reporting issues and initiating trouble tickets with hardware/cabling/transport vendors.
- Following up with vendors according to SLAs and escalation matrices to coordinate communication of latest updates, dispatch ETAs, RFOs etc. to the customer.
- Initiating & coordinating service calls for field engineers with vendors (including third party vendors independent of the hardware/cabling/transport vendors).
- Performing triage/troubleshooting with field engineers during site visits and vendor meets to identify/resolve basic device hardware, configuration and/or software/IOS issues.
- Escalate issues for Level 2/3 support as per documented guidelines.
- Provide implementation support for change management activities performed with Level 2/3 support.
- Provide analytical support for problem management activities being performed with Level 2/3 support.
- Strong concepts of networking like TCP/IP and TCP dump.
- Network management - configuring network interfaces and troubleshooting network problems,
Qualifications:
- 1- 3+ years of technical experience in corporate IT operations
- Knowledge of Routing & Switching
- Strong skills in working with clients and communication.
- Knowledge regarding Internet Service Providers
- Strong writing skills to maintain organized documentation.
- Knowledge of network cabling, network classification and network topology
- Professional level training & certification in data networking by any leading vendor, i.e. Aruba, Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki, Checkpoint, Palo Alto.
