Network & System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Network & System Administrator to manage and support our organizations IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, virtualization, firewall systems, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in networking, Windows/Linux administration, Ubiquiti devices, Proxmox virtualization, and troubleshooting.

This role requires someone who can independently manage day-to-day IT operations, ensure uptime, and provide reliable technical support across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

• Perform LAN cable laying, crimping, patching, and structured cabling setup.
• Configure and manage network switches, routers, access points, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Administer Ubiquiti UniFi / Cloud Gateway, firewall rules, VPNs, and network security policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot internet connectivity, network performance, and stability issues.

System & Server Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, file services).
• Install and manage Linux/Ubuntu servers and workstations.
• Handle user provisioning & access management: Active Directory, authentication, roles, permissions.
• Maintain OS updates, security patches, and system hardening.

Virtualization & Cloud

• Manage virtualization using Proxmox VE (VM creation, migration, storage setup, backups).
• Perform routine backups, disaster recovery, and failover planning

IT Support & Asset Management

• Install operating systems and software on laptops and desktops.
• Manage IT inventory and allocate laptops/accessories based on departmental needs.
• Respond to support tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues (L1/L2).
• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

Documentation & Processes

• Maintain updated documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
• Work with IT/security teams to ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance best practices.
• Recommend improvements for performance, capacity, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in System/Network Administration or IT Infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, firewall rules.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux OS, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Proxmox or equivalent virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Proficiency with Ubiquiti UniFi / Cloud Gateway and firewall configuration.
• Basic administration knowledge of MySQL / SQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
