Network Security Engineer FW L3

Responsibilities:

As part of the Infosys FW operations team, your primary role would be to understand customer issues, diagnose problem areas, design innovative solutions and facilitate deployment resulting in client delight.

- Provide L3 (expert level) operational support for Firewalls, IDS/IPS, to resolve critical operational issues that require network troubleshooting techniques.

- Participate in troubleshooting, incident management, Root Cause Analysis. Implement corrective/preventive actions.

- Participate in requirement workshops, Design and lead technology refresh projects, give inputs in solution design and prepare cost estimates.

- Conduct POCs and pilots to evaluate the suitability of the solution.

- Trouble shooting and policy implementation, Refresh activity, Process validation.

- Understand customer issues, participate in client discussions, define and document the issues. Provide various options based on industry best practices.

- Participate in knowledge transition activities KT sessions, Primary, Secondary support. As part of transition, understand the business context, solution design, open issues,

- Create and maintain knowledge repository for issues resolved.

- Create and review Design documents, client presentations, SOPs, User manuals and other project documentation.

- Create metrics and reports for internal and external circulation.

Work Experience:

7 - 12 years of experience

Additional Responsibilities:

- Contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high quality value adding solutions to customers.

- Ability to assess the current processes, identify improvement areas and suggest the technology solutions.

- Mentor L2 and L1 team members and participate in recruitment activities.

- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for the team.

- Awareness of latest technologies and Industry trends

Technical and Professional Requirements:

- Infrastructure Security - Network Security

- Hands on experience of Firewall operations: FortiGate / Juniper / Checkpoint / Palo Alto

- Industry certifications like CCNA are an added advantage.

Generic Skills:

- Logical thinking and good communication and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.

- Client Interfacing skills
